Australia Day Celebration
Join us for a fantastic FREE Australia Day celebration in Ilfracombe with our Awards Ceremony,
Great Australian Bites Festival, and Cricket.
Being held at the Ilfracombe Recreation Centre, 20 Torrs Road, Ilfracombe, 4727 QLD
If you are staying in Longreach and would love to attend the Ilfracombe Aussie Day event
and don't feel like driving, Longreach Regional Council is kindly providing a Shuttle Bus from
Lot 1 Wonga Street Longreach ONLY, to Ilfracombe and return to the same address on Australia Day.
Leaving the Longreach Railway Station at various pick-up times, to bring you across to
the Ilfracombe Recreation Centre and returning as needed.

ISISFORD FISHING

Calling all fishing enthusiasts!!
Come on out for a fantastic three days of fishing, and fun at Isisford!
This years celebrates 20 years of this great annual competition. People come from all over Australia
so get in early and go in the draw to win some great prizes. Entertainment, food and more!
Hope you're ready for our 20th Year of celebrating the Fishing Competition.
Tickets are now on sale at 3.00pm by clicking the Book Now button above.
Please note: We are selling tickets on the weekend of the comp as well so no-one will miss out .
Also note: No Refund policy & No Firewood will be available this year, so bring your own.
Please note when purchasing tickets all fields with * must be answered otherwise it will not let you purchase order . Go through and put all attendee's information in then scroll back up to either Paypal or credit card then it will let you purchase.
For the Newbies coming to the comp for the first time and you're wondering what happens.
1. just roll up and pick a spot to set up camp you do not have to book or have allocated spots.
2. There is no camping inside the fenced area, Oma Waterhole is 3km's long so there is plenty of room to find an awesome spot.
3. There will be no toilets put out along the river bank, but there will be a semi trailer with showers and toilets that you can use just outside the fenced area.
4. Please don't rope off areas for camping, everyone wants to attend the Fishing Comp and everyone is entitled to have a camping area . We hope that hospitality and courtesy will suffice.
5. Please clean up your camping area before you leave. Our volunteers work tirelessly over the weekend and when the comp is done and dusted the last thing we want to do is pick up everyone's rubbish.
6. BYO is not permitted inside the licensed fenced are which is also the Control Point area.
Offenders will be required to vacate the area immediately. Please ensure you do not drink and drive. Buying/supplying alcohol to minors will not be tolerated.
7. No boats/watercraft/flotation devices or fishing from boats are allowed.
8. This year there will be no firewood dropped off. More details to follow.
